Black, rubber, not quite rigid...yes, I do believe it is. It was both a prop and a pianistic aid.
The lack of movement dovetailed with the lack of light. Any more activity and all you'd see would be a stage with blurs on it, so all in all this worked out well.
They were signing CDs after the show, but they had so many I wasn't able to think to make a selection. In retrospect, I think The Gorey End might be my entry point.
